Prophecy CEO showcases Snare’s security data engine at NWR Communications Security Technology Conference

Brad Thomas, CEO of Prophecy, highlighted the benefits of Snare and emite at the NWR Communications Security Technology Small Cap Virtual Investor Conference on July 11, 2024. He emphasized the critical role of secure data collection from diverse systems.

Prophecy’s core products, Snare and emite, integrate data from various applications, platforms, clouds, and endpoints to enhance security, optimize workflows, and improve customer experience.

Log management, log collection, and data collection represent a US$4 billion global market. Prophecy contributes to this market and the broader security analytics, security incident, and event management market significantly.

Snare’s secure data collection stack helps businesses determine who accessed the network, the point of compromise, the data viewed, and whether the data was exfiltrated or changed. This process keeps organisations compliant with current regulatory standards. Some compliance mandates require business data to be stored for up to 12 years, and Snare’s pricing model makes this possible and affordable.

Regarding customer service, emite collects data from different applications, platforms, and clouds, enabling analysis and reporting in the customer experience (CX) market space.

2023 Australian Export Awards recognise Prophecy International for excellence in Advanced Technologies

We are excited to announce that Prophecy International has been named joint winner of the Advanced Technologies Award at the 61st Australian Export Awards, alongside Audinate. This award honours outstanding international success in the field of information technology (IT), digital technologies, software, hardware, or digital services, and is a significant recognition of our commitment to innovation and excellence in the global technology market.

Brad Thomas OAM, chief executive officer, Prophecy, said, “We’re a small team from Adelaide, but our reach is global, extending to over 60 countries. This award is more than a personal success; it represents the potential and impact of Australian technology on the global stage. It’s gratifying to see our efforts contributing back to the Australian economy.”

The past year has been a period of significant growth for Prophecy. Some of our highlights include:

  • expanded global relationship with Fujitsu in the defence sector
  • established key partnerships in Japan with Jupiter Technology Group, and in the United States (US) with Novacoast
  • renegotiated agreement with Verizon and inaugurated a subsidiary in the Philippines
  • achieved an impressive 20 per cent increase in revenue year-on-year (YoY).

Our global reach

A key aspect of our success is our international reach, with more than 80 per cent of revenue generated from overseas markets. Our flagship products, Snare and emite, have been integral in offering advanced data security and analytics solutions across a diverse range of industries. Our global footprint—especially in the US, the United Kingdom (UK), Japan, Singapore, Korea, and Taiwan—reflects our adaptability and proficiency in meeting varied and complex requirements in cybersecurity and customer experience analytics.

Brad Thomas said, “Prophecy has been successfully exporting for many years. The primary lesson is that you need boots on the ground in each region you are selling to. You also must foster a network of partners with a customer base that needs your products. As a cybersecurity software company providing sovereign Australian cyber technology, we are proud to help customers globally to stay secure and meet their cyber compliance requirements.

“We collaborate closely with Austrade in Asia, the US, and the UK. Most recently, we participated in a cyber delegation to the UK to drive new partner relationships. We are also a member of Team Defence Australia and are listed in the Defence Sales Catalogue.”

Keeping it simple and safe

Our business philosophy is centered on simplicity and effectiveness. Our goal is to enhance recurring subscription revenues while effectively managing expenses. Leveraging the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model through our global partnerships, we’re making strides towards becoming an influential player in the global software landscape. As a cybersecurity firm, the security and compliance of our customers’ data remains our top priority.

We extend our congratulations to all the winners and finalists of the Australian Export Awards. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, partners, and especially our dedicated team, whose talent and innovation are crucial to our success. This victory is a collective celebration of the capability of Australian exporters to drive innovation globally.
