Growing Snare
Developed in the early 2000s, Snare was formed from the collective idea of two men with a defence background. Their insight into the industry meant they were able to see what the defence customers wanted, and write the software to meet these needs.
Entering the Australian market with success, Snare later appointed resellers in North America and Europe to grow the company worldwide.
Prophecy’s Takeover
The creators always saw the potential in their software, but in 2010 they realised just how much potential – a larger organisation was needed to take it to the world. And Prophecy was the company to do it.
In 2011, Prophecy acquired Snare and immediately set about investing in development and sales resources.
The Results
New Markets
Appointing new resellers and entering partnerships with industry leaders has helped bring Snare to new markets – not just defence.
Growth
Since the takeover, Snare’s annual sales have increased five times over between 2012 and 2015. This growth comes from all industries and organisations of all sizes.
High Standards
Today, Snare is widely used in all organisations where security and compliance – with standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NISPOM and SOX – is paramount.
